Alocasia brancifolia (commonly known as the branched alocasia) is a striking, rare species of flowering plant in the family Araceae, native to New Guinea and the Maluku Islands. Unlike typical "elephant ear" plants with broad shield-shaped leaves, it stands out for its deeply dissected, jagged, fern-like foliage. Mature specimens display a prehistoric appearance, complete with upright green leaves and beautifully mottled, zebra-striped stems (petioles) that are typically chocolate brown or pink in the 'Pink Passion' cultivar.
